Serving Burlington Since 1986

A Family Restaurant Since 1986 in Burlington, NC

My name is Harrison, and I run Harrison’s, a local American restaurant at New Market Square, 2773 S Church St, Burlington, NC. My dad, Fred H. Clayton, first opened our doors back in 1986. Since then, we’ve been serving the people of this town one plate at a time. It started as a family place—cousins helping out, long days, and lots of sandwiches. Today, it’s just me holding it down, but the mission is the same: make good food that feels like home.

Why Harrison’s Has Stayed Strong for Decades

Why Harrison’s Has Stayed Strong for Decades
We’re not in a fancy building or downtown hotspot. We’re in a strip mall. Nothing flashy. But for nearly 40 years, people have kept coming back. That says something. Locals, college students, folks who’ve moved away—they still come to Harrison’s when they’re in town. We’ve been voted best lunch spot and best sandwich shop a few times in local papers, but honestly, just being a regular part of people’s lives is what matters to us most.

A Local Staple in the Burlington Community

Being around this long means we’ve seen families grow up. Some of our customers came here as kids and now bring their own children. There’s no secret to it—just staying consistent, honest, and kind. We care about our food and the people who eat it. We’re proud to be one of the local spots that hasn’t changed in a world full of chain restaurants.
